Established in 1879, the RDS is one of the most magnificent venues in Ireland.
The RDS is Ireland’s largest International Conference, Exhibition and Events venue with over 22,000 sq. metres of floor space set on a 42 acre site. The historic venue is very easy to access and is on the main transport lines of the DART and Dublin Bus.
The RDS premises include the RDS Arena, RDS Simmonscourt and RDS Main Hall. The venue plays host to a vast array of concerts, sporting events, trade shows and conferences and is the home ground of Leinster Rugby. Leinster’s home matches in the Magner’s League and the Heineken Cup are often hosted in the RDS as well as its pre-season games.
Dublin Horse Show
One of the most popular events held in the RDS is the Dublin Horse Show which has taken place every summer since 1868. This year the Dublin Horse Show will take place from the 20th- 24th July. Over the years the Dublin Horse Show has developed into a high profile national show jumping competition, international show jumping competition and a major event in Irish entertainment.
For the past few years, the RDS has played host to the Web Summit. This is a global technology conference that is centred on internet technology.
